Information You Submit
When you enter a name, telephone number, or address in a search form, that entry goes to the outside provider that supplies the results. South Lake Tahoe People Search does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the information you decide to send and use it only to answer your message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems may create routine server logs that include an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregate log data helps us maintain the site and see which material visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when relevant, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
The limited data described above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and content improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual profiles of people who use the site.
Privacy on Linked Websites
Links may lead to City of South Lake Tahoe systems, El Dorado County and California agencies, court portals, library collections, or outside search services. Information submitted on a linked website is controlled by that site's policy, not this one. The same rule applies to sponsored results supplied by a third-party company.
Who May Process Information
Companies that host or support this site may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatically collected information described above. We may disclose data when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise share visitor data.
How Information Is Safeguarded
An encrypted connection serves the site, and server logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes. Because visitors do not create accounts here, the site stores no visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted personal information, and we will remove it.
Your California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including rights that can apply to notice, access, correction, deletion, sale or sharing opt-outs, and sensitive personal information. The Delete Act, at Civil Code sections 1798.99.80 et seq., also created California's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform for eligible data-broker requests. Because we retain very little, a request to us generally involves checking our contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Official records held by South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County, California agencies, or courts remain outside our control, and the privacy laws governing businesses do not erase those government records. Requests about an official record must go to its custodian.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised version of this policy will appear here. If you continue using South Lake Tahoe People Search after an update, that continued use signifies acceptance of the revised policy.
